ABOUT SALLY
As a member of the Australian Fencing Team and current Oceania Champion, I'm fit, healthy and loving life. But it wasn't always like this...
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who knew absolutely nothing about how to live a healthy lifestyle. In fact, I distinctly recall thinking that having a nutritionist for a parent would be the worst thing in the world because you’d never be allowed to eat anything yummy! And I couldn’t wait until I grew up so I could have Coco Pops for breakfast everyday.
As I got older, I focused on building a career and stimulating my mind. I also managed to fit in plenty of partying too and could have happily lived on 3 meals a day of McDonalds. Needless to say, the effect of this lifestyle slowly but surely took hold.
Then, one day, out of the blue, I decided it was time to try something I’d wanted to do since childhood - fencing. In a blink of an eye, I was determined to become a champion, so I began learning everything I could to achieve peak performance. At first, I took a few wrong turns, following misguided advice, and have definitely learnt what not to do!
But determined to find my path, I eventually developed a deep understanding of how our body, mind and soul all need to be cared for to achieve optimum health. My fencing improved out of sight and I was selected for the Australian Fencing Squad. I was selected for the national representative team a year later. I now represent Australia in international competitions, travelling around the world practising my passion.
I have experienced, first-hand, how health and wellbeing dictates my overall quality of life. I'm now committed to helping others improve their quality of life and avoid illnesses and pain. I maintain that achieving health and happiness does not have to be hard work, and follow the mantra ‘if you’re not enjoying it, ditch it, and let’s find what’s right for you!’
